Welcome to The Coil Academy, a learning environment dedicated to teaching young ladies the importance of learning their natural curl, becoming comfortable with their natural hair and building self confidence through learning different hair care and maintenance techniques and skill building. This course was designed to help you understand your hair better while providing you with the tools you need to bring out the best in your hair. The overall objective of this course is to get you comfortable with your hair by understanding your hair type and texture, while figuring out what works for your hair and what doesn’t as well as get you confident about at home styling.

Our sessions bring girls together to build relationships, confidence, and knowledge. We educate in smaller groups to ensure individualized learning, confidence, opportunity for feedback, and collaboration.

You have made a great decision to join The Coil Academy, we plan on feeding into you as many skills as possible for healthy hair maintenance and building self/hair confidence. We appreciate you wanting to learn and venture into skill building through your crown of hair. We’re going to make sure your crown of hair is explored, defined and polished as such a crown should be. All the members of The Coil Academy are excited on getting this new hair journey started.
